Brooklyn s the national collaborated with icelandic artist ragnar kjartansson back in 2013 on a lot of sorrow a so called durational performance where the band played their song sorrow from the high violet album live on stage in ny s moma ps1 repeatedly and continuously for six hours. Didn t do this in one shot but over a handful of sessions i basked in the pointless glory of hearing sorrow over and over. 9 clear label less 12 records in clear plastic sleeves presented in screen printed clear acrylic box.

It s out june 22 via 4ad. In june 2020 the expanded edition of high violet was released on vinyl for the first time as the 10th anniversary expanded edition.
